I went through the interview process in 2023, before the company was acquired by the GPS group. The process was divided into two interviews, the first one with the area coordinator and managers and the last one with the director of intelligence. Both interviews were straightforward, mixing behavioral conversation aspects with technical experience, where I narrated my market experiences and the managers provided more details about the job scope, also questioning some points on my resume. The process was smooth, with a dynamic conversation.

Behavioral Technical

I recently went through a hiring process at Pop Trade Marketing. The first interview was on 27/09/2024 with HR, which was a relaxed chat about my background, the company culture, and the role. The second stage, however, was with two managers and I didn't feel comfortable. I wasn't hired and didn't get clear feedback on why. It's frustrating because the job seemed like a perfect fit for my skills. I'm confident I could have excelled as a Systems Analyst, given my experience in solution support (incident and problem management), working with different teams and clients, system maintenance and evolution, agile methodologies (Scrum), project management best practices, SQL and relational databases like PostgreSQL, and acting as a liaison between business and tech partners. In my last role, I spent over two years bridging this gap, building a strong foundation for supporting and evolving IT solutions. I believe I would have met Pop Trade's needs, so not being selected was tough to accept. Maybe the decision was based on minor factors, but it still stings. I feel discouraged, not from a lack of interest or ability, but due to the current difficulty of job searching. Often, candidates are rejected without understanding how to improve. During the interview, I stressed how my skills could benefit the company, and my previous employer recognized my performance. Yet, landing a job now seems to depend on having a 'perfect day'; otherwise, we're deemed unsuitable. This is my current view on job hunting, but I'm staying the course. I hope recruiters can see past the passion for the profession and the urgency candidates feel. I appreciate the opportunity and am available if future chances arise.

Behavioral Other

The HR process is quite positive. However, what's promised isn't delivered. Management ('Gerência') is unprepared. The person in charge has low empathy, almost no humanity, and little patience. They use their power to 'boss around.' They treat people with humiliation and offend employees, calling them liars. They lead by making bargains with employees about potential benefits as a trade-off, like protectionism and promises of positions after getting rid of people.
