Platform Engineer
The interview process wasn't too difficult, and we had some really good discussions about my previous work. There was also a CoderPad exercise. Overall, it seemed like a really nice role! I was told on Friday that the feedback was very positive and I'd hear back on Monday. I followed up on Wednesday and was informed they chose another candidate, which was a bit of a surprise. I asked for specific feedback on areas for improvement but haven't received any, which is quite frustrating.
- Can you share your experience with multi-tenant SaaS offerings?
- What's your experience with ArgoCD?
Dialogue Designer
The interview process consisted of four steps: interview with the hiring manager, take-home assignment, interview with developer, and a panel interview with other dialogue designers on the team. The interviews were supposed to assess my technical skills (basic Python), as well as my design process (script writing, flowchart design, etc.)
- What are your thoughts on this script?
- What modifications would you propose for this design?
- Could you write some Python code for this?
Software Engineer
Applied on Linkedin, first spoke with a recruiter and had a good chat. Then was told about a take-home coding task that was described as 'straightforward,' but turned out to be 4 questions (2 easy, 1 medium, 1 hard) to be completed in 60 minutes. I finished all of them but had 2/6 test cases fail on the hard one. This question seemed difficult on purpose because the environment had errors when I tried to add debug prints and a video animation played during test runs. I got an 86% score. The recruiter then mentioned reviewing my submission and asked for my availability for the next interview, which I provided for the following week. By mid-week, I hadn't heard back, so I updated my availability and emailed the recruiter. The recruiter then sent a generic rejection. I'm not upset about the difficulty, but more that they might have changed their mind after inviting me. Also, the recruiter didn't send the task until I asked.
- Can you tell me what ownership means to you?
Human Resources Manager
I had a really good experience interviewing with this company. The whole process was smooth sailing, and the recruiting manager kept me in the loop with feedback and next steps the whole way through. Everyone I talked to was friendly and asked good questions that really got me thinking about the role. They had me prepare a presentation, which I was a bit nervous about at first, but it turned out to be super insightful. I learned a lot about the job and got to show off my skills a bit too. The way they handled everything was spot-on - organized, communicative, and actually pretty enjoyable. It definitely left me with a great impression of the company and how they do things.
- Could you describe your process for creating a strategy?
