Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Poly.
Marketing Executive
The interview process was professional and well-structured. It started with a recruiter phone screen, then a technical assessment, and finally 2-3 rounds with team members and leadership. They communicated well and were approachable.
- Can you introduce yourself?
Marketing
The recruiter called me on the phone to discuss the role. Then, I had to do video interviews with the hiring manager and team members within 24 hours, which made me think they really needed someone fast. After the video calls, the recruiter said she'd update me in a few days, but she never did. Just like other reviews say, the recruiters here are terrible and ghost you.
- Can you introduce yourself and explain your motivation for this role?
Marketing
Typical interview process. A round with the recruiter. A round with hiring manager, her counterpart and two team members. All went great and was told I’d be a great fit. 4 rounds of interviews then ghosted. I followed up every two weeks. The recruiter was responsive but evasive. I followed up three weeks after the initial two weeks. Found out there was another role open very similar to what I had interviewed for but at a higher level. I applied and let the Recruiter know. I told her I thought this looked exactly like the same job but with direct reports and I was a manager before. She emailed me back two days later just saying thanks have a nice weekend. This is about the fourth or fifth time Poly has done this to me in the interview process— they put me through interviews and string me along and then ghost me. Zero consideration for the candidate.
- Could you start by telling me about yourself?
