The interview was pretty quick. It was mostly general questions, focusing on if I had reliable transport and my sales experience and skills. They also asked for personal stories and sales numbers from my last job. First, there was a phone interview, and then I scheduled an in-person interview with the local branch management. I was told I'd meet one of two people, but I didn't know who it was until I got there.

Applied for Collections Specialist, with 10 years in collections and 19 in debt settlement. Was a bit nervous due to interview anxiety. Questions were straightforward, focusing on past jobs. Received an email two days later stating I didn't get the job. Suspected age discrimination as a reason for rejection, especially given a question about my recent employment gap, and felt employers might see me as not a long-term hire. Hurt by not getting the job despite my experience.

I attended a job fair where I met the company. The workers there were nice, and my interviewer was also nice. I got a second interview about an hour later, which seemed to go well. They only had two open positions: call center or branch. I wanted to work there because I like the bank and am a member myself. Six days later, I received a rejection email saying they selected candidates who were a better fit for their needs, despite my customer service experience and two degrees. They didn't mention keeping my resume or other potential roles, just a generic closing. I'm disappointed because it seems like experience and a "shiny resume" are prioritized over getting a foot in the door, even after meeting in person. I still like them as a bank, but I won't apply again.
