First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at POLARIS Laboratories.
Chemist
The interview with the director of technical services was chill. It was more of a situational interview than a technical one. Be prepared to handle "what if" scenarios, and be truthful because they can tell if you're faking it.
- Can you describe a time you managed a challenging employee relationship?
Lab Supervisor
After applying, I had conversations with HR, the Lab Director, and the Lab Manager. They asked standard questions for the role, assuming you're prepared. It felt more like a back-and-forth discussion than an interrogation. They really wanted to make sure I knew what was expected and what I could expect. It seemed like a good company, and the team I met was smart and driven to improve and succeed. I'd be happy to work at Polaris.
- They asked technical questions regarding instrument maintenance.
- They asked technical questions regarding troubleshooting.
Practice Head
I got an email from a recruiter to see if I was interested, and then they set up a call. It was about 20 minutes long, where they wanted to know about my background and experience and told me more about the job.
- Can you tell me about a time you decided not to pursue a client or prospect's business?
Human Resources Generalist
The interview process was great and well-organized. The questions were designed to really get into my qualifications and experience. The interviewers were professional and engaging, and they explained the role and what they were looking for clearly. The conversation was productive and insightful. I liked the structured format because it kept things focused. It felt welcoming and open, which made for good dialogue. They also answered all my questions thoroughly and clearly told me what to expect next. Overall, it was a really positive and organized experience.
- What's the main thing you want us to remember about you from this interview?
