Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Pointwest.
Software Engineer
The interview process felt structured but still friendly. They clearly explained what the hiring process would look like. They also gave a good explanation of the role itself. I had the chance to ask questions about the company culture, the work environment, and how work is set up, and they took the time to answer them. The interviewer was clear about what they were looking for in a candidate and the expectations for the position.
- Can you rate your technical abilities?
Software Engineer Intern
I applied through a virtual campus job caravan and it took about three months to hear back about my interest. The first interview was a phone call where they asked standard interview questions. After passing that, I had an assessment with behavioral, logical, and reading comprehension parts. If you pass the assessment, they set up a final panel technical interview. For me, it was just one interviewer who asked about why I'm interested in Pointwest and some technical terms.
- What kind of system would you create to help people?
- Why do you want to work at Pointwest?
- Can you explain some technical terms?
Software Engineer
It was easy. First, you take an exam. If you pass, the interview process is straightforward. For recent grads, they check your college grades. After passing the exam, there's an HR interview, then a panel interview, and finally, an interview with the manager. If you pass all of them, you get all company benefits from day one, and no regularization is needed.
- Can you introduce yourself?
