The hiring process was really fast, I got an offer in under two weeks. It was thorough though. Started with an online HR interview, then an online interview with the team. After that, I had two in-person interviews on the same day: one with the team and another with the Head of Marketing.

I had a really great interview experience from start to finish. First, I talked with the Director of HR, and then I met with two managers I'd be reporting to. Everything went super smoothly, and they were clear about what to expect and what was next. They gave me plenty of notice for interview times. The interviewers kept in touch and shared all the info I needed before, during, and after. Everyone was super friendly, paid attention, and acted professionally.

The interview process had great communication, with clear expectations and next steps laid out. The questions were spot on for the role, really showing what the job entails. It felt professional and pretty comfortable. They were good with time, no waiting around, so it was smooth. The whole thing was set up well, with each part making sense.

Technical

A third party recruiter reached out about this role. It was supposed to be a two-step interview process. The first step was a technical interview with a senior and junior SRE, who would ask standard SRE questions. The second step was with the SRE lead, which I think was semi-technical. I didn't make it past the first round. The interview itself was okay, and I think I could have done better with a few hours of prep. The interviewers seemed alright, though I did detect a bit of sarcasm and felt they were being patronizing at times. To top it off, the third-party recruiter kept calling me during the interview, which was really strange. Also, the salary offered was much lower than the industry standard for a successful gambling company.
