Technical Coding

I had a technical interview. It involved 3 questions focusing on Python and SQL, which were generally easy to medium difficulty. This was expected as the questions covered DSA and SQL data handling. I'm still waiting for a response, but I'm hopeful to hear back within about a month.

Technical Case

Had a quick chat with a recruiter at Point72, they seemed nice. They sent me a take-home case study. The case study was about predicting a particular equity's performance for the next two quarters, and I had to submit a model and a two-page research report. I found the case study interesting and put a lot of time into it. Since they didn't provide data, I used public data and created what I thought was a good model. I never heard back after submitting my case study. I followed up with the recruiter a few times over the next month, but never got any confirmation that a hiring manager reviewed it. I didn't even get a rejection, which would have been acceptable. It felt disrespectful to require such a detailed project and then ghost a candidate. A rejection would have been fine, but ignoring a candidate's follow-up is inconsiderate and indicates a poorly managed process.
