First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Point-of-Rental Software.
Project Manager
The interview had four parts: first a screening with the internal recruiter, then a 30-minute chat with the PMO lead, followed by a 45-minute interview with the head of professional services, and finally a 30-minute session with both the PMO lead and the head of Tech. Honestly, the three interviews felt pretty much the same and could have probably been done in one go if they had set it up better. The questions seemed kind of vague and not really thought out or prepared.
- Can you tell me about your experience managing 15-20 projects concurrently?
Customer Service Specialist
Applied on Indeed.com on August 9th and heard back from HR on September 12th. I applied for a software support role but was interviewed for customer support. All communication was via email or indeed instant messaging, never a phone call. There were two Google Meet video interviews, both professional and comfortable. The first interview was about 5 minutes discussing my background and salary expectations. The second interview was 30 minutes and covered technical and situational questions. The process felt relatively quick and average in complexity. The interviewers were professional, which was a plus. A downside was the lack of follow-up on the outcome, which was frustrating and left me in uncertainty. Despite this, the company seems to offer a great work environment with good work-life balance.
- How would you handle an irate customer insisting on an immediate resolution when you know it will take time?
- Tell me about your experience in locating an IP address and where you'd find that info.
- Could you walk me through the steps for resetting cache and cookies?
Manager
The interview process at Point of Rental was pretty straightforward and organized. There were four rounds in total, and it included both technical and behavioral interviews. It took a little over a month from start to finish. All in all, the experience was smooth and efficient, with clear communication throughout. I felt the interview process was relatively easy and focused on seeing if I had the right professional expertise and if I'd be a good cultural fit for the company.
- Are you comfortable collaborating with other departments?
Software Engineer
After applying, I got an email in about 2 days and scheduled a phone interview shortly after. The phone interview was mostly about me, my strengths and weaknesses, and how I heard about the company. If they liked me, I was given a take-home test. If I remember correctly, passing the take-home test led to an on-site group interview, and that was the end of it.
- Could you tell me a bit about yourself? Also, who is your favorite superhero and what's the reason behind it?
