So, the interview process was pretty standard for a fast-paced design agency. It kicked off with a 30-minute intro call with the hiring manager. Then, there was an hour-long meet-and-greet with the design team where it was pretty open-ended, just a chance to chat and see if we clicked. After that, I got a take-home assessment: mock up a landing page in Webflow. The design itself was a bit rough, with inconsistencies in type, spacing, and colors, and it wasn't fully complete. The task was to finish it, make it fully responsive with interactions, and estimate the time spent. They also emphasized their preference for over-achievers.

I sent my resume to the recruiter and then got a call to set up an interview. Two people were there in person and two were on Zoom, including the CTO. They asked mostly about my Webflow skills, even though they said it was a UX/UI role. No soft skills or personal questions were asked. After the interview, I had to do an unpaid take-home assignment where I had to build a design in Webflow based on about 5-7 requirements. They failed me on criteria they never mentioned and then didn't hire me. I'd suggest checking out company reviews before applying and taking the job description with a grain of salt, focusing more on the actual questions they ask to know what to expect.

It was a 4 round interview process: first resume screening with some behavioral questions, then culture fit interviews with team leads and the COO, followed by an assessment project, and finally a discussion of the project implementation with the team. The interview was really straight-forward and professional, but the whole process took too long. I had to wait 2 weeks between the last 2 rounds, and at that point I already had another offer that I think was a better fit for me.

I had an initial phone screen with three people who didn't seem to have my resume. Then, I met with the same three people again for a face-to-face meeting. After that, I spent half a day meeting everyone else at the company, basically told to 'walk around and meet everyone.' It felt like a cultural fit check, but it was disorganized. Less than a week later, I got an offer for 47k, which is way below industry standards. It seems like they're trying to hire cheap employees to save money and aren't leveraging the experience they could get.
