The interview process is efficient and moves quickly. It begins with a screening interview, where they'll get to know your background and qualifications. If you pass that stage, you'll move on to two mock cold calls with upper management. These calls are designed to assess your communication skills, sales approach, and ability to think on your feet. The entire process is streamlined, so you can expect to move from one stage to the next relatively quickly.

I first interviewed for an AE position around this time last year, and it was alright. They asked standard questions like why they should hire me, how I handle rejection, and about my work experience. The third interview was a roleplay with two interviewers, which was pretty intense. I didn't do great, so they suggested I go for an SDR role instead. I then went through six more interviews for the SDR position. During the second SDR interview, the interviewer basically called me stupid. That was odd, but whatever. Right after, he told me I'd be interviewing with the VP, and nobody had prepped me for that, which threw me off. He asked about a time I failed and how I handled it. I answered another question, and he said he didn't want a detailed account but a brief answer. Ultimately, I didn't get either job, and after all those interviews, it felt like a real slap in the face.

So, the first interview was a quick call with the standard questions like 'Why Podium?', 'Tell me about yourself,' and 'Do you have any issues with commuting to Lehi from Salt Lake?'. They mentioned I'd need to know a bit about Podium's product for the next interview. I asked for more details, like if there'd be a test or presentation, or roleplay. They said no, just get familiar with the basics on the website. Which, you know, having worked in tech, I was skeptical. The next interview was with the hiring sales manager, and they didn't ask about my background at all. They didn't even introduce themselves or tell me about the job. Right at the start, they wanted me to do a roleplay and come up with a sales pitch.
