& Process

It began with a zoom interview with the regional manager, and then there was an in person interview with the assistant office manager, which also included a tour of the facility. All in all, the process was easy and smooth sailing.

I applied online, put in my info, and got an email saying thanks on Sept 20, 2018. About an hour later, I got another email asking for my availability. Then, an email asked me to set up a phone interview with Joseph Mastic, the HR specialist, by giving him 3 times/dates I was free. I emailed him, and the next day he said he'd call me. My phone was acting up, so I said I'd call him Monday. I called Monday at 11, and he told me the pay, hours, and why I was looking for a new job. It was short, and that same day I got an email invite to set up an interview. I picked Oct 11th, a Thursday, at North Babylon. The interview started at 12:15 and ended at 1:17. I met Jennifer Cramer, who talked a LOT about the company and the job for about an hour, covering benefits, expectations, company operations, training, and orientation. Then, she asked about setting up a shadowing time. We scheduled it for Oct 18th from 7-8:30 pm. When I got there, staff showed me around, introduced me to people, and gave me a tour. After shadowing, I emailed Jen about the next step, and she said it was references. I'd get an email later asking for references: one current/past manager/boss/supervisor and 2 others. Once I had all 3, they'd get a survey link.

I got an email to set up an interview with Keren. The phone screen went fine, and I was told to look forward to the next steps the following week. But that never happened. I sent a follow-up email every week for the next 3 weeks, but no one replied. A few weeks after that, Keren emailed again to schedule an interview for a different job I applied for. When I replied, asking if she wanted to continue with scheduling a call for the new role, I was again ignored and ghosted.

The interview and onboarding process was very messy and inconsistent. It took weeks to get back to me and move things forward. They didn't really ask any thorough questions, just about what the job entails and the expectations for the role.
