First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Plymouth Housing Group.
Marketing Manager
It was a really weird interview. I had a phone call where they unexpectedly asked for a cover letter. The person on the phone seemed annoyed I didn't send one, even though the application didn't ask for it. They acted like it was personal. They said if I wrote a cover letter they liked, I could move on. I thought it was weird because a cover letter is supposed to make them read your resume, which I'd already done. Anyway, I thanked them and sent a cover letter that afternoon that met their requirements. A week later, I got a generic rejection from Plymouth Housing. I felt like the interviewer just wanted to waste my time. It was a strange power play and probably shows what working there is like. I'd say to avoid it.
- Can you describe your marketing experience?
Data Analyst
It was a quick phone screening that lasted about 15 minutes. Then a few weeks later, there was an hour-long panel interview with four interviewers. All in all, it was a pretty straightforward process.
- What are the typical stages in an analytics project?
- What's the benefit of using stored procedures in a database?
- What are the most effective ways to clean data?
Talent Manager
The interview process started out okay, but the ending was really unprofessional. My second interview, which was supposed to be the last one, got rescheduled because the HR Director had a scheduling conflict. They called me the day before the new interview date, which was super last minute, especially since I had already prepared a lot. They told me they had hired someone else and my upcoming interview was canceled. It was unprofessional, showed disorganization, and was a bad candidate experience. I hope they treat employees better than they treated candidates.
- Questions about DEI
Stewardship Coordinator
I had one phone screening, about 20 minutes long. They asked normal questions, some behavioral ones and some about my skills for the job like donor database management. I didn't move forward mainly because I didn't have enough experience. The interviewer was nice and told me about the organization when I asked.
- What is your current understanding of Plymouth?
