First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Plus One Robotics.
Finance Intern
I had a phone interview with the CFO of plus one robotics. We talked about my familiarity with Excel and financial modeling, and also my career aspirations. Overall, it was a positive experience.
- What are your career goals?
- How proficient are you in Excel?
- Tell me about your experience with financial modeling.
Web Developer
The whole thing took like a month since I was employed at the time. It started with a phone screen, then I went in person, then there was a code challenge, a meeting with the dev team, and then a bunch of other meetings with senior management and other team members.
- Could you describe some of your previous web development projects?
- What are your reasons for us to hire you?
- What makes you interested in working for a startup?
System Integration Engineer
You'll first get a call from management to set up a phone interview. If you do well on that, they'll extend an offer for another interview, which will be virtual if it's during COVID times. On interview day, you might get a tour of the building. After you finish your interviews, the team and manager will review your performance. They should let you know their decision in the days (or weeks if it's COVID) after your last interview.
- What is your level of familiarity with ROS?
- Can you describe your programming experience?
- Have you had prior experience working with or around hardware, such as power tools, heavy machinery, or metal sheeting?
Quality Assurance Engineer
So the whole thing kicked off with a phone screen, just chatting about when I'm free, the company, the product, and my past experience. After that, they had me come in for an in-person interview with two senior engineers. We talked about team fit and culture stuff, and they also threw some technical questions my way. They were pretty quick with communication and getting back to me, which was nice.
- Describe how you'd design a system to handle power loss or program crashes during configuration writes, ensuring recovery or continued operation.
- What would be your approach to testing a system designed to recover or continue working after a power loss or crash during configuration writing?
