First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Plummer.
EIT
The interviewers were serious but very friendly throughout the whole process. I had some general and behavior related questions. We also had some light technical discussions about current projects, the scope of work, and potential timelines.
- What feedback has your supervisor given about you?
Analyst
The CTO seemed uninterested in the interview process. He was preoccupied, frequently checking his watch. Despite making me travel an hour for the meeting, he offered no feedback afterward.
- I don't recall the questions that were asked.
Engineer
The interview lasted all morning, from 8am to 12pm, and included 5 separate one-on-one interviews with Senior PMs and the Group Leader. The interviews felt more personal, focusing on assessing cultural fit rather than technical knowledge. Given the position, this made the interview less stressful, although I wasn't aware of that beforehand.
- Can you describe your mindset?
- Tell me about your approach to quality.
- How do you think you would fit into our company culture?
Software Engineer
The interview was very direct. They explained the job duties and what they're looking for in candidates. They asked about your past work, how you'd be a good fit, and if you had any relevant certifications. Then they moved on to behavioral questions.
- What work experience do you have that relates to this role?
- Explain why you're a good fit for our company.
- Do you have any certifications related to this position?
