First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Plow & Hearth.
Writer
I had a pretty long interview with the HR manager on the phone. He asked a lot of questions, but nothing too difficult. It lasted about 45 minutes. He mentioned afterwards that they were looking for local candidates, and since I was out of state, I didn't get the offer. He was nice and professional though. Overall, it was a good experience even without an offer.
- Can you describe your experience that's relevant to this role?
Customer Service Representative
You can apply online or in person. First, HR will call you. If that goes well, they'll email you 2 or maybe 3 tests covering your skills, talents, and common sense. If you score well on those, they'll have a group of 12-15 people come in for a brief meeting where you'll do some paperwork and they'll explain the upcoming training.
- Just wondering if you know about the really long hours we expect for Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays and if you're able to work them?
- Can you handle those hours?
- Are you flexible with your schedule?
Supervisor
It was pretty laid back, I had 2 interviews since I was applying for the supervisor level. Everyone always seemed really friendly. I got the family environment feeling from the beginning, like the manager would take care of you.
- What is your 5-year career outlook?
Copywriter
I had a fair and organized interview process. First, I talked with two managers from the Creative Department where they asked me about my resume and work history. After that, I was given a task to do.
- Can you discuss your background and experience?
