Software Engineer Intern
The interview can happen either in person or virtually. Typically, there will be two interviewers asking technical questions, and one HR person who will ask about your background, why you're interested in this role, and explain what the company offers. Everyone is friendly and treats you well.
- Can you tell me about personal projects you've worked on?
- Could you explain what an Analog to Digital Converter is?
- What is the resolution of an ADC?
Software Engineer
I applied online and then had an HR interview. It was pretty basic, covering my motivations, intentions, and expectations. After that, I had a second, technical interview online with the Hiring Manager and another engineer. They asked me some basic C programming questions and had me review some code to find errors. The third stage was an onsite interview that lasted about 5-6 hours. This involved giving a presentation about my experience and achievements, and then going through a few more interviews, one of which included live coding.
- Regarding your career, what are your long-term plans and what is your ideal role or position?
- Can you explain the order of operation execution for the expression ++*x++?
- What are your long term plans for career? What is your ideal role/position?
Software Engineer
I chatted with a recruiter at a career fair, then had an interview on campus a couple days later. It was a pretty standard interview where they asked about my resume and experiences. He said he'd put me forward for the next step, and I got an email about a week or two later. They flew me out to Neenah WI (they covered gas and hotel), and I had an all-day interview. It included a tour, a meeting with HR to go over benefits (which I found really odd), and a couple of skills tests. One test was about the software development process (covering requirements, design, implementation, etc.), and the other was a programming test. They mentioned they use the same programming test for all skill levels, and I didn't do too well on it. I got an offer via email a week later.
- What do you think I want to hear?
- Had other skills questions.
