I had a panel interview where I had to give a 15-minute PowerPoint presentation. The panel seemed really disorganized and didn't seem to care about the interview. The worst part is that they never responded back, which was fine because I wasn't that keen on the job. However, it's still pretty rude to just ignore someone after a panel interview. On the plus side, the PowerPoint presentation I created turned out to be a great tool for interview prep, so I guess they did contribute something positive.

The interview process is a bit different from what you might expect. You'll start by preparing a PowerPoint presentation about yourself, focusing on your strengths and past work. This approach made the process much better than the usual question-and-answer format, as it allowed me to highlight significant projects from my internships that don't typically fit into standard interview questions. (This played to my strengths as I'm outgoing and a good presenter.) Following the presentation, several engineering supervisors from different sectors, along with an HR representative, will engage in a Q&A session. Most questions will stem from your presentation or resume. The HR person usually asks standard interview questions, while the supervisors will focus on project specifics and technical aspects. It's a great company to interview with, and I actually got hired, so I might be a bit biased. The interview itself lasted a couple of hours in a conference room. Don't expect a tour unless they're impressed, as there are limitations and strict rules due to defense contracting. A downside was the lack of travel expense reimbursement (gas, meals, housing, etc.), unlike other companies I interviewed with.

So the interview was pretty much a technical discussion. They hit me with super detailed questions about stencil design, reflow ovens, print quality, and other failure analysis stuff. I had to prep a presentation/Q&A for about 30 minutes, and then they split me into two sessions with different groups. Funny thing is, more than half the people who were supposed to interview me bailed. So I ended up just presenting to two process engineers, and then they interviewed me for an hour and a half, and that was the end of it.
