The whole process was pretty fast, which was nice. Maybe it helped that I'd already interviewed with a manager from the same department for a different role. So, the first interview basically revisited stuff from that previous chat. I'm combining the two experiences since the roles were so similar. The first interview was really technical since it was for a junior role. The hiring manager kept digging into my technical knowledge to see if I knew things relevant to the job. I really liked the interaction and enthusiasm, which I found was missing in other interviews. We even used a whiteboard to discuss and learn new things, which then became the basis for more questions. A week later, I found out they went with someone more experienced, but they immediately suggested a similar role, this time as a graduate trainee with the chance to rotate through different departments before going permanent. That led to the second interview. This one wasn't as technical; it was more about behavioral and aptitude analysis, figuring out which departments I'd fit into and assessing my passion. The operations director introduced me to the functional managers, and we chatted, which helped confirm my interests and areas for growth. Meeting the other managers just solidified my interest in the company; the motivation and knowledge I saw in the first manager seemed to be a company-wide thing.

The interview process involved a phone interview followed by an onsite interview at Plexus, Penang. The HR staff, technical manager, and other staff were all friendly and nice. The manager even arranged for a staff member to give me a tour of the office and lab after my interview. This tour was a great opportunity to see the actual work environment. Speaking with the staff member who led the tour, the company seemed to have an awesome culture that's open to opinions and a nice work environment. However, a downside was that they didn't follow up with me about the application outcome, even after I emailed them to inquire. Despite this, it was a great interview overall.
