First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Please Touch Museum.
Manager
The interview process was quick and they made a fast offer. It involved a 1-on-1 meeting and a panel interview. We started with a phone screen, followed by the 1-on-1 and then the panel. Communication after I was hired was bad, but it was good before and during the interviews.

Coordinator
I applied online, and then I had a quick 20-minute chat with HR over the phone. After that, she invited me for an in-person interview about three weeks later. When I got there, I was put into a panel interview with all the directors of the department I would have joined. They asked relevant and interesting questions, and didn't really follow up much. As I was leaving, they gave me a paper copy of the application I'd already sent in and told me to mail it to them and just wait to hear back. I got a rejection letter in the mail about two weeks later, and it had someone else's name on it. Not a great experience.
- What are your weaknesses as a team member?
Program Coordinator
Had a phone interview with HR about working styles and values. Then I had an in-person interview at the museum with the HR rep, department head and another staff member. It was a panel interview with questions from a list. They said I'd hear by the end of the week. I sent a thank you note that day. Nothing by the end of that week, or the next. I emailed again to ask if the position was filled. They never replied.

Manager
After you apply, HR will give you a call. If that goes well, you'll come in for an in-person interview. It'll be with a group of your future coworkers and bosses.
