First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at PlayStation.
Project Manager
The interviews were scheduled as expected, but I have to agree with others, after two or three rounds of interviews, you'll get ghosted. Dumped with no follow-up from the recruiters. So keep your options open if you get a call for a position at this company. Pretty bad behavior after multiple rounds of interviews.
- Tell me about your experience and highlight relevant points from the job description.
Project Manager
I had a phone call with the recruiter, then a Skype interview with the hiring manager. After that, there were 3 on-site interviews the following week, and then 3 more on-site interviews the week after that. They were quick with feedback until after the interviews. I had my last on-site on a Wednesday, and they promised to get back to me by the next Monday. The Wednesday after that, they called and said they needed another week to decide. The week after that, they called again and said they needed another week. After all that, I never heard back. About 3 months later, I found out from a friend at Sony Playstation that the person they hired had started about a month prior. It felt like they didn't care about my time, making me do two rounds of on-sites and then not even sending a rejection.
- Can you describe your previous work experience?
Project Manager
I applied through my college's career services. The interview process involved two one-on-one interviews where they went over my resume. They asked common questions about my past experiences, focusing on leadership, teamwork, positive and negative situations. They also inquired about my familiarity with Sony products. The interviews were conducted in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. I received a job offer about two weeks after being contacted.
- Can you share an instance where you were required to do something you didn't want to do?
- Could you describe a situation where you demonstrated leadership?
- Tell me about a time you worked effectively in a team.
