Behavioral Technical Presentation

It was a really well put together interview process. I met with the hiring team, the hiring manager, and then some team members all in a panel. After that, I had a final interview with a Snr Director. All the discussions were good, and they asked relevant questions, listened well, and asked follow-up questions. The questions covered a good range, from process and situational to aspirational ones. The only thing I'd change about the process is the overall time it took; it was 4 months from start to finish.

For the Cloud Data team, the process started with a recruiter phone screen where they checked my resume, background, and if I was a good fit. Then, there was a phone screen with the hiring manager. After that, it was an onsite interview with 4 rounds, each 45 minutes long, covering different areas: TPM skills, technical abilities, stakeholder management, cultural fit, and a final manager interview. Each step took about a week to hear back. The onsite was really well organized. The recruiter was super responsive via email. I got a rejection reply pretty quickly with some general feedback, which was good, but honestly, the result was unexpected because I thought I nailed it. Apparently, one person on the panel can really tank your chances. I was told I lacked technical experience, which was surprising since I've been in networking for 11 years, working on routing/switching development and EPM for projects in that same area. Maybe the two technical interviewers weren't networking specialists and didn't fully understand my technical choices and data structure decisions. Oh well, no hard feelings, moving on to the next thing. Overall, the people I met were great, and their interview process left a positive impression.

Applying online wasn't very effective. I reached out directly to a recruiter via email, and that got me a response. The entire process, from the first contact to the final interview, took approximately two months, making it quite a long drawn-out affair. Because it was hard to get everyone I needed to meet with on the same day, I ended up having to go in multiple times for what felt like a single round of interviews. The questions themselves were pretty straightforward, and the people I met were very nice, but coordinating the schedule was a challenge. It looked like the hiring manager had trouble making a decision, and getting follow-up information wasn't always easy.
