This was the slowest and most drawn-out interview process I've ever been a part of. The team seemed friendly, but the entire process pointed towards a very disorganized structure with no clarity on job requirements. Interviewers seemed confused about what they were looking for in the role. Having said that, the people I met were smart, and the recruiter was very helpful in providing actionable feedback. I get the impression that it's a great place to work, but the process didn't fill me with confidence in the capabilities of the hiring team.

The interview process was enjoyable, and I liked meeting everyone. Even though the role was in San Diego, most of the team was based in the UK. I felt I could get along well with them, and it seemed like a great place to grow my career. The process included a recruiter call, followed by interviews with the Manager and Senior Manager. Then there was a panel interview that required a prepared presentation, and finally, an interview with the Director. They talked a lot about valuing diversity, which didn't quite align with my interview experience. There was also some confusion; the recruiter mentioned managing 3 people, but the hiring manager said it could be up to 15. After the panel, the recruiter indicated an offer would follow, and I shared my salary expectations. However, I was then scheduled for another final interview. Ultimately, I couldn't accept the offer (which included base salary + variable bonus) because it didn't meet or exceed my current compensation, and they weren't willing to negotiate.

I was completely ghosted by the recruiters. Maybe they selected another candidate, but I received no feedback or updates. It's really frustrating when you go through multiple steps, start liking the people and the company more and more, and then at the final stage, instead of a clear Yes or No, they just disappear. It's been over a month and a half since my last interview, and still no word. I saw reviews mentioning ghosting, but I thought those were rare occurrences. Now, I suspect it's the standard procedure. If you don't make the cut, they never bother to give you feedback, leaving you wondering. This is the normal process.
