First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Playboy.
Operations Associate
I went through 2 rounds of interviews, first with the People Ops Manager and then with the Director of People Operations. They gave me positive feedback and said things like if it were up to them, I'd start the next day, and that I'd hear back in a couple of days. I followed up twice via email, but after about 2 weeks, I was told I wasn't being considered. I asked for feedback, but was ghosted.
- What makes you want to get into HR?
Social Media Content Producer
The first interview was June 10 and I was told it going to be a fast process. They said I would be forwarded to the their manager and I'd hear from that person in early the next week. After over a week without hearing anything, I reached out and was finally set up with a group interview June 21. After that I didn't hear anything for awhile again, but finally got a third interview on July 8. I haven't heard anything else since then.
- What kind of equipment do you use for shooting?
Assistant
The interviewer was super nice and communicated really well. The interview itself was very informative and honestly a breeze. The job wasn't the right fit in the end, but the interviewer let me know within a week that they'd gone with someone else; they really don't keep you waiting! It's definitely a company I'd want to interview with again because the whole experience was so positive and professional.
- How familiar are you with the legacy brand's rebranding efforts into more modern markets?
Social Media Manager
The interview process involved a phone chat, a task where I had to create sample content, and then an in-person meeting. The whole thing took about a month. Everyone I interacted with was super nice and helpful before and during the interviews. The office vibe seemed really close-knit, almost like a family. My main gripe is that I never heard back, despite trying to reach out a few times myself.
- What do you anticipate being the main difficulty for you if you were to work here?
