First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Playa Bowls.
Cashier
I had a chat with the manager about the job. We talked about my teamwork skills and any possible scheduling issues. The manager was really nice, and the whole thing was super simple. We also covered customer service and how I'd deal with different scenarios.
- What would you do if a customer was upset?
Shift Lead
It was pretty easy, just be yourself. The managers at this place are really involved, at least when I was there. Make sure you know your availability off the top of your head because they'll ask. They're open to hiring people without prior service experience and are nice throughout the process.
- Would you be alright with taking on more responsibilities within the team?
Team Member
I applied for the job in the storefront using a paper application. I let them know my part-time availability and then followed up with the manager on the phone. It was a really easy process, and I was able to start working almost right away.
- What hours were you available to work as a student?
- Let's talk about pay.
- How would you get to work?
Team Member
It was a scheduled video call, with basic questions about my work history. They asked if I had my own transportation, which is a bit disappointing given the hourly wage.
- Can you describe a situation where a customer issue arose at work and how you managed to resolve it?
