Behavioral Case Presentation

The interview process had a recruiter interview, then a hiring manager interview, followed by a case study to complete at home. After that, there was a panel presentation and three individual interviews with team members. The presentation part at the end was rough, it was nerve-wracking enough to do a panel interview, but then they added an impromptu presentation to prepare right before. I did okay on everything else, but the presentation really got me because I was so nervous. Presentations aren't a regular part of the job, so I don't really see the point of it in the interview process for assessing job-related skills fairly. I'd suggest swapping the presentation for an open Q&A panel about the case studies for this role.

Behavioral Technical

It started with a recruiter call, then a 30-minute chat with the Hiring Manager. After that, there was a panel interview with 4 separate 30-minute sessions. The whole thing wrapped up in under two weeks. The people I met were great and the interview experience itself was good, but I can't say the same for the recruiting team. The recruiter seemed confused about the job and the pay. They told me after the panel interview that an offer would be extended, we negotiated the salary, and I sent in the documents needed. I was waiting for the written offer. The recruiter then ghosted me for a week. When I followed up, they said they weren't moving forward because I didn't fit what they were looking for, stating they needed someone more senior. It was unfortunate and unethical, to be honest. The recruiting team needs to improve.

Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

The whole interview process involved an initial recruiter call, then a Zoom chat with someone in the role, followed by 4 back-to-back interviews with the hiring manager and team in one afternoon. Finally, there was a 3-hour round with more one-on-one chats, a 1-hour timed case study, and a presentation of that case. Scheduling was easy, the recruiter was responsive, and upfront about salary and expectations early on. Interviewers were on time, and each call had enough time for questions without feeling rushed.

Had a phone interview, then met with the Head of Growth. Had two more meetings with the Head of Growth, followed by a meeting with the Head of Operations. After that, heard nothing back. The Head of Growth had previously said there would be 3-4 more meetings after the Head of Operations and I talked. The Head of Operations said she'd talk to the Head of Growth and they'd follow up, but that was over a month ago and I haven't heard anything. During the Head of Growth interview, I was asked to do a lot of research, which led to me making three presentations and spending a lot of time calling property managers and companies to build a good presentation. I think I was silly to put in so much effort and detail, but with how this ended, I won't recommend Plastiq and feel it's disrespectful to use someone's time, effort, and ideas without even saying they went with someone else.
