The whole thing took about 3 months. Started with a recruiter call that was supposed to be a video call, but the recruiter didn't show up. She rescheduled, but still wouldn't turn on her camera. Then I interviewed with two senior designers, which went fine. The final round was with a VP and the same two senior designers. It was quick and went well. They said they'd get back to me in a week or two, but I never heard anything. I followed up with the recruiter, who promised an update by EOD, but again, nothing. This was in April, after starting in late January. In early May, the same recruiter emailed me to interview for the same graphic designer role because it 'just opened up.' What a joke. They couldn't even send a rejection email. It was a complete waste of my time.

I had my first HR interview scheduled, and I joined 15 minutes early, but I kept getting removed from the meeting. Then, HR reached out to reschedule. When the new date was coming up, it got canceled right before the meeting started, with no explanation. I put in a lot of prep work, but sadly, I didn't get a chance to talk with anyone at the company.

Applied and had an interview within a week. The office was small with few employees, and the interview happened behind closed doors. The interviewer was critical of the current staff and her own workload. She mentioned there was little strategy or direction for the product lines and that day-to-day tasks were "micro-managed" from corporate in Southern CA. It didn't seem like an inclusive, respectful, or opportunity-filled environment. I withdrew my application.

This interview will check your skills and experience. You might need to talk about how you edit, the tools you use, and how you deal with comments and changes. They could also look at your portfolio or ask you to explain how you sort photos, pick the best ones, and do the final edits. The main idea is to see if you're technically good, pay attention to details, and can work with a design team.
