First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Plan B.
Intern
After applying, I was contacted by the agency and invited to the office to "meet the team." I felt confident about moving forward since they complimented my application, portfolio, and resume. During the 20-minute meeting with two senior staff, I presented my portfolio. They said they'd follow up the next week, but two months later, I still haven't heard back, even though I saw they hired someone from their social media. It's frustrating to have complete radio silence after they implied I was a top candidate.
- Can you tell us more about yourself and walk us through your portfolio?
- Do you have any questions for us?
Office Manager
I had a panel phone screen and then was invited back a week later to meet with the same panel plus the Creative Director. The team seemed nice and the office was welcoming. At one point, the Director asked, "Where are they?" I wasn't sure if he was talking to me or if "they" referred to someone else, and since it was a casual moment, I didn't immediately respond. My hesitation seemed to frustrate him, and he repeated the question louder. They appeared to be a dedicated team, with everyone focused on their work.
- Do you know any project management software?
Account Director
I was contacted by a third-party recruiter who set up an in-person interview with the Director of Client Services and the Group Account Director. The office was in a loft-like space, and the interview took place informally in an open conference room. Both interviewers asked questions but mostly talked about their main client and ongoing projects. They told me one of my questions was "wrong," which seemed to align with negative reviews I'd seen on Glassdoor, though the reviews themselves remain on the site and are "upvoted" despite being "flagged." The next steps were supposed to be a Bristol-Myers Squibs assessment and a case study presentation.
- How do you keep up with current trends?
- Have you had experience managing people?
Account Coordinator
The interview process was really great and everyone was super helpful. The questions were easy and the interviewers were very inviting and nice. I was nervous but there was no reason to be. No sweat interview process.
- Can you tell me about your previous experience?
