Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at PJ's Coffee.
Barista
There was just one interview. I talked about my previous jobs and how I could contribute to PJs coffee. It was alright, not amazing but not bad. Nothing was confusing, but nothing was super interesting either.
- What would you bring to PJs coffee?
Barista
It was a pretty thorough interview process for the barista role, covering my past work history, any management experience I had, and my customer service background. Since the location was new, the interviews were conducted really carefully, though I'm not sure if that's how it is for every store.
- Do you have previous barista experience?
- Have you worked in a managerial capacity before?
- What would be your approach to handling a difficult customer?
Barista
The interview was really straightforward. We mainly discussed my suitability for the role and my ability to perform well under stressful conditions. They also gave me an overview of the duties involved in the position.
- What makes you a suitable candidate?
- Can you describe your experience working under pressure?
