Production Assistant
I went through two interviews and both interviewers were really nice and helpful. They mentioned I'd hear back within a week, but I actually got a response the same day, which was great!
- Can you tell me about your experience?
- What made you interested in this role?
Receptionist
The initial conversation with the senior recruiter was positive; they seemed genuinely interested in my past work and roles, asking good questions and showing enthusiasm for learning more and moving forward. This led to scheduling an interview with the Facilities Coordinator. However, the Facilities Coordinator appeared disengaged, checking their phone and using a curt, uninterested tone. They didn't seem keen to discuss my qualifications or past experiences, setting a negative tone from the start.
- How would you respond if an individual attempted to forcefully enter the office without signing an NDA?
- What steps would you take if someone tried to force their way into the office and hadn't signed an NDA?
VFX Production Coordinator
The interview process was decent, with a single Zoom interview with the Head of Production. I received a verbal offer about a week later, which was a fast turnaround. However, after I stated my desired salary range on the phone (which was fair given my experience), they rescinded the offer and ghosted me. This happened even after I inquired about their potential offer, saying 'Ok, let me see what you can offer instead.' It was disappointing to have a large company ask for my salary expectations after extending an offer, only to withdraw it after I expressed openness to their range. I won't be applying there again due to this poor business practice.
- Can you describe your typical workflow?
Art Director
It was a really friendly and casual interview process. The company was looking to build out an art department for 2015, and the role had been open for a bit. Scheduling calls was easy, and the team was really flexible with timing for the meetings. I enjoyed talking with everyone; they were all super knowledgeable, and overall it was a good experience.
- Can you describe your experience with various pipelines?
- How comfortable are you with different pipelines?
