The interview involved two phone screen rounds, followed by a coding assignment. After that, there was a two-hour in-person interview. They asked typical PHP and MySQL questions. I had to decline the offer because their salary was really uncompetitive. It was also strange that they mentioned continuously hiring for the role, which made me wonder if they were growing fast or had high turnover.

First, I had a 30-minute chat with the recruiter who then gave me a skills test. Then, I had a phone call with one of the developers. After that, I did an in-person interview that was about 1.5 hours long. I met with two developers and an executive. The first developer asked me some general questions, the second developer had me review some code, and the executive asked me typical interview questions. What I didn't like was that the executive asked a lot of probing questions about my past work experiences at other companies. He really dug into the specifics of my previous jobs and my colleagues, not just taking my word for it. He also told me at the end that I needed to ask more questions, even though I had already asked 7. It felt like he was looking for something specific but didn't say what.

Had a 5 hour at home coding exercise where I had to build a responsive design using PSD, JSON, and minimal frameworks to show my handwritten syntax. After they accepted the code, the next step was a 30 min phone interview, then a 1-2 hour in person interview.

Recruiter reached out via Monster. Had a brief recruiter call, then scheduled a 1-hour phone screen with the head of PM. This interview was focused on understanding what pixafy does and my experience with PM methodologies. The call went well, but HR followed up the next day saying they were looking for someone with more e-commerce interest and agile experience.
