First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Pitzer College.
Intern
I had an online interview with a student and supervisor. They were very welcoming and asked mostly behavioral questions. Everyone was very nice and I heard back soon.
- Why do you think CAPAS is a good fit?
Student Caller
It was a pretty standard 1 on 1 interview. They asked why I wanted to work there and what skills I could bring. The interviewers were really nice and the whole process was incredibly casual. Pitzer in general has a very laid back attitude about the work environment.
- How would you handle an angry constituent?
Teacher
I was there for two days. The first day, I did some classroom observation and met with administrators and faculty. The second day, I taught lessons in two different classes. On the third day, I interviewed with the whole faculty. For the interview, I had to give a short biography and then answer tough questions from the faculty and admin.
- Regarding Waldorf education and anthroposophy, what's your level of commitment and your relationship?
Administrative Assistant
We had an in-person interview that was a group session. The supervisor and other staff members from the same office were there. It lasted about an hour. Everyone was friendly. They described the job duties really vaguely. The questions they asked were pre-written. Interviewers took turns asking questions and seemed to stick to the script.
- Are you able to maintain strict confidentiality?
