After submitting my resume, I was quickly contacted for a phone interview. We took a bit over a week to schedule because the recruiter was out of office. The phone interview went smoothly and was quite pleasant. About a week later, I was invited for an in-house interview. This involved meeting with two team leads, followed by a meeting with the Director of Research. There was also a caliper/personality test at the end. The interviews were very informative, and the questions asked were relevant and challenging. The Director really focused on my knowledge of data analysis and finance, probing into a previous analysis I had conducted. My main issue with the process was the follow-up. The recruiter initially said I'd hear back by early the next week. By Wednesday, I received an email stating the hiring team was busy and decisions would be made no later than Friday. Friday passed with no word. I followed up the following Monday, only to be told again that the team was busy and decisions would be made soon. It wasn't until the Wednesday after that I received a generic rejection email. They didn't even acknowledge the extended delay or their failure to meet their own timeline. While the people and the company seemed great, they could certainly be more considerate of candidates' time.

I applied online and had a phone screen a week or two later that lasted 30 minutes. We discussed my current role, job search goals, and compensation, and I had time for questions. Less than a week later, the recruiter scheduled an in-person interview. The recruiter was good about mentioning timelines for updates and met them. I interviewed twice and met with different research team members. They explained the team and the job well, and I had several chances to ask follow-up or clarifying questions to ensure it was a good fit.
