First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Pison.
Principal Scientist
The interview process was pretty standard, with no major surprises. It took place at their Boston office. There was a fair amount of downtime during the day, and I didn't get to meet many of the team members. They asked both basic and standard questions. They didn't seem to have a lot of knowledge about government business.
- Can you tell me about your experience writing proposals?
Senior Quality Engineer
The whole interview process lasted for 2 months. It started with an initial conversation with the recruiter and the VP of engineering. After that, there was a long period with no feedback despite follow-up attempts. Finally, I went through three rounds of interviews where I was asked theoretical questions about QA processes, not coding.
- Could you describe the bug template you would typically use?
- What are your thoughts on automating the process for wearable technology?
Software Engineer
It was a typical interview process for a Software Engineer role. Started with an HR phone screen, then a behavioral interview with the hiring manager. After that, there was a take-home project, which was a pretty cool and open-ended problem. Next, I had technical interviews with some of the engineers. The final round was with the executives. Overall, it was a really good experience.
- Can you discuss your system design background?
- What's your experience with cloud infrastructure frameworks?
Data Scientist
Applied via LinkedIn and got a call from the recruiter the next day. After that, I had an onsite interview with a data scientist and a data engineer. Then, I had a Q&A session with the VP. They showed demos of their products during the interviews.
- Could you answer some basic SQL questions?
- What about signal processing and analysis?
- Can you explain linear regression?
