First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Piramal Enterprises.
Software Engineer
After finishing all the interview rounds and submitting all my documents like my bank statement, they rescinded the offer letter citing budget issues that were discussed beforehand. It's unfair to ask for someone's documents and then not give them the offer letter; they should be upfront about it. Fortunately, I didn't end up working for such a company.

It was a long hiring process, starting with a get-to-know-you call with the recruiter. Since the role was for the new NBFC venture at Piramal, interviews were conducted by the Director of Engineering and other senior leaders in the vertical. The interviews were smooth and very professional. The panelists in each subsequent round were supportive and helped me arrive at the correct solution for problems, giving a good impression of the potential employer. Each panelist clearly explained the vision for the new venture and the expectations for the job.
- Can you design a system for theatre booking?
- Tell me about your experience with Data Structures and Algorithms, considering the difficulty can adjust based on your performance.
- Can you share your experiences from your current job?
Software Engineer
I was asked about my projects, then some SQL questions, and also what opportunities interest me. They also asked some questions from their presentation. The interviewers were really nice and polite. I couldn't answer the SQL questions, so we moved on to C and C++, which I was comfortable with. Overall, it was a good experience.
- Can you explain what a Left Outer Join is?
- How does Group By work?
