The call started on time and the interviewers seemed prepared, clear, and direct. However, it felt like they were sticking to a script, trying to get a specific "right" answer instead of understanding my problem-solving approach and how I reach resolutions. It was a very cookie-cutter interview experience.

The interview process started with a Zoom call with the team leader for a general chat about my current work. Then, two interviews were scheduled back-to-back in the office: one with HR. After the first in-office interview, the HR person mentioned she had to go to a meeting and would reschedule the HR interview. She then disappeared for a week. After a week, she called, but I missed it. I called her back, and she said she had to attend another meeting and would get back to me, which she still hasn't. I found this whole thing quite unprofessional.

Technical Coding System Design

I went through four in-person interviews with this company, investing a lot of time and energy. They even checked my references, who gave great feedback, but then they ghosted me. I followed up multiple times, and each time they said they'd update me soon, that I was great, and they were deciding between me and another candidate. It's been almost a month since I last reached out, with zero response. No update, no rejection, just silence. The interviews were demanding. One involved designing a real-time payment architecture and fraud detection system. Another was coding with AI tools like Cursor, building a mini Ticketmaster website in their offices, plus general questions on code, scaling, AI, and product. It's unprofessional and disrespectful to ghost candidates after four interviews, practical exercises, technical discussions, and a reference check. The least they could do is communicate the outcome. Disappearing shows a lack of integrity and respect. This behavior reflects poorly on the company culture. Candidates deserve transparency and basic decency, which was the opposite of what I experienced.

Behavioral Technical Coding

The interview experience was very human and personal. HR kept me updated with frequent, general followups and explained what to expect at each stage. My overall impression is that this company has a great atmosphere and interesting challenges. I had a phone screening with HR, a technical interview with a tech manager, and a data science homework assignment, but I withdrew after accepting another offer.

  • There was a fun logical question to demonstrate my problem-solving thought process.
