Recruitment Consultant
Came in for an in-person interview under false pretenses, even though I clearly stated my area of expertise and one I wasn't knowledgeable in. They said it was fine and I could specialize in my area. We scheduled an in-person interview, and I traveled a long distance and spent a lot of money. Upon arrival, they hadn't prepared and then told me they weren't actually hiring for the role I applied for, but for the opposite sector I mentioned. I'm unsure if it's sheer incompetence or they just don't care. Basically, after a successful first interview, we discussed the role, and it seemed suitable. Pinpoint Recruitment works in finance and legal sectors. I was clear my expertise was in finance, not legal. The interviewer said it was fine, and I could choose to specialize in finance or do both with training. We booked an in-person interview for the following week. I was out of town, so I had to travel 4+ hours to make it. The operations manager, who did my first interview, greeted me and mentioned this second interview was just to check team fit with some team members, as she thought I was a good candidate. This is where it went wrong. They hadn't even planned the interview location, so we ended up in their busy shared building cafeteria. Two team members were sent down individually for one-on-one interviews, and I don't think they knew they'd be interviewing. The first was a senior consultant who immediately started asking legal technical questions, despite me reiterating my finance background and interest in the finance team, though I said I was willing to learn legal. That's when I found out their next 4 hires were intended for the legal team. Despite my efforts, there was no recovering from that. The second interviewer was a junior, very nice and warm, and I don't blame them. They clearly didn't know they'd be interviewing. Half the time was spent them trying to figure out what question to ask next. Both interviewers asked similar questions, and the quality and quantity were very poor. I had to ask many questions myself to try and show my knowledge.

Recruiter
It was a standard interview process, with many people in a room asking standard questions. I was offered a role but rejected it after doing due diligence, as there was no flexibility in the workday and seemingly high staff turnover. It doesn't seem like the place to join if you have a family.

Business Analyst
Super unprofessional and I felt like I was penalized for things the interviewer messed up. The interviewer made a strange comment about my resume and got annoyed when I pointed out their error. All in all, a strange experience I wouldn't recommend.
- What makes you want to work for pinpoint partners?
Consultant
I met with 4 people in the office face to face. The people I met were friendly. It was a very efficient interview process and I got an offer on the same day as the interview.
