Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Pinnacle Foods.
Brand Manager
The interview process was pretty standard. I applied via a recruiter and then came in for a full day of one-on-one interviews. I met with several brand directors and also HR. Most questions were about how I'd fit into the company culture, though some interviewers asked about my past experience with the required skills and a business case. I was contacted within a week, and they were really helpful and flexible with setting up my relocation. The whole process felt quick and was well-organized.
- Can you share some feedback from a past performance review and how you addressed it?
Senior Brand Manager
Spent most of the day meeting with all marketing directors, trade spending director, HR manager and EVP Marketing. Followed up with recruiter. Did not receive any clear feedback as to whether the position was ever filled and why I was not a fit. Vaugely discussed not being sure what "weight" the ideal candicate would have.
- What would be your approach to market "X" brand differently?
Assistant Brand Manager
Met with the Director and Brand Manager. It was a straightforward process, and they were very open about expectations and respectful of my experience. It was a positive experience, and I felt like I got a real sense of how they would communicate with their teams. There was no feeling of trying to trick me.
- Can you explain your interest in working on this specific brand?
- Describe your strategy for managing this brand, considering its current lifecycle stage and any associated challenges.
