The first part was a screening test that matched the job I applied for. Then came a panel interview, which was weird. The questions felt like they were for a different, though similar, job. It was the most awkward interview I've had. They barely made eye contact, didn't greet me properly, and stuck to their script exactly. It just felt cold.

I got an email with a date and time to show up at the main office for my interview. I didn't get a call or any other info before that. Even though I wasn't thrilled about it, I went because I was really interested in the job and working for the school board. When I got there, I met the 3 people on the panel. They seemed nice. They told me they were doing interviews back-to-back and I'd have 15 minutes for 9 questions. The questions were all about the job. I felt rushed trying to answer them because it was a timed interview and there was a lot of pressure. Overall, I think it went okay. The way the interview was set up felt really impersonal, like they were just trying to get through their numbers. I followed up with emails and calls afterward but never heard back.

The whole thing took about a month. Honestly, they really need to rethink how they do interviews here, it's like they just read from a script and if you don't hit their exact pre-written answers, you don't get points. It's crazy because it's the same process whether you're trying to get hired from outside or move up within the company.

I had an interview that was a group setting with the principal, vice principal, and other teachers on the team. They had questions prepared beforehand and let me look at them to help me think about the next question as the interview went on. Each person asked the questions one after the other.
