First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at PineBridge Investments.
Intern
The interview process was pretty simple. It started with an HR screening call, and then I had a follow-up call with an associate and the VP. They mainly asked me general questions about my interest in the firm and private credit, and my thoughts on the private credit markets.
- Tell me about your interest in Pinebridge Investments.
- What makes you want to work in New York?
Analyst
First there was a written economic analysis summary to complete based on a prompt. After that, I had a panel interview with two interviewers where we discussed general sovereign questions and portfolio analysis, including a trade idea. They also asked some team fit questions. Finally, there was a background check.
- What trade would you put on right now?
- What would people say your weakness is?
Investment Analyst
It started with a case study, then I met with interviewers to talk about my CV and the case. The case study had a time limit and focused on company analysis. The interviewers were nice and mostly asked about fundamental analysis.
- Can you walk me through your CV experience?
- What past investments have you made?
- What motivates you to apply for this position?
Management Reporting Intern
I applied through the college career network and then got a call to schedule an interview. I had two interviews in total: one with the VP and another with the Senior VP, with each interview lasting about half an hour. The VP was very welcoming and helped me feel more relaxed. She went into detail about her team and what an intern would do. She asked me to introduce myself and we then reviewed my resume. We spoke for more than half an hour, but she did most of the talking. Afterward, I met with the Senior VP. He was more direct. He also explained his team's work and what to expect as an intern. He started by asking me to talk about myself and then inquired about specifics from my resume, like my previous internship and leadership roles. While he sought more in-depth responses, the experience wasn't overly stressful.
- Could you start by telling me about yourself?
- Can we go over your resume together?
- Tell me more about your previous internship experience.
