Grocery Stocker
The person I spoke with was really nice and spoke in a pleasant way. They asked some really basic questions, like if I could manage heavy boxes or if I had a way to get to work reliably.
- Are you able to lift and carry heavy boxes?
Business Analyst
It was a quick and easy interview process, but they did ask some really difficult technical questions. You'll need to know financial modelling and option pricing models. The interviewer was super cute, but I didn't end up taking the job.
- Could you explain the IPO process from start to finish?
Stocker
The interview process was straightforward. I submitted my application online. About a week later, the store manager reached out to schedule an interview. After the first interview, they immediately scheduled me for a second interview on the spot. However, I was quite disappointed afterward because I called multiple times and never got an update on whether I was being hired or not. I also never received any explanation for why I wasn't selected, even though I wasn't even told if I would be hired or not.
- Could you tell us something about yourself?
- What are your aspirations for the next five years?
- What is your availability?
Cashier
It was a good meeting with the owner and assistant manager. Everyone wore masks and was polite. They asked about customer service skills and working with the public. They also asked about standing for long periods and my cash management experience.
- How would you handle a difficult customer?
