First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Pierpont Communications.
Digital Marketing Account Executive
I went through the second interview and was told I'd hear back within 2 weeks either way. Never heard back and no response to my follow up email. It’s Pierpont, but it struck me as unprofessional. I won’t apply with them again.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Public Relations Intern
I went to the office and interviewed with two account executives who were also the intern coordinators. They were very friendly and answered all of my questions, making me feel comfortable. They asked questions to get to know me, my education, and any experience I had (school, internship, or paid work) that was relevant to a PR intern's duties.
- Have you written press releases before?
- How would you rate your writing confidence?
Intern
I'm an intern here now. The process started after I met an account executive at a career fair and got the intern coordinator's email. I emailed the coordinator with my cover letter and resume. They needed writing and research experience. Then, we had a phone call where they asked about my work experience. After that, an in-person meeting was set up which included a test on AP Style and drafting a press release, graded on a 9-point scale. About 50 people applied, 10 interviewed, and 4 got the position.
- What is your level of research proficiency?
- What do you hope to gain from this internship?
- Could you describe your community involvement?
Public Relations
Reached out to the ATX office and they followed up with an interview invitation. I went into the office and spoke with the Senior Account Executive. The interview lasted about 45 minutes and it was a really nice experience.
- What makes you a strong candidate for an internship here at Pierpont?
- Can you describe how you've handled downtime during previous internships?
