I initially reached out to the store manager about the role. He gave me the job description to review. After I confirmed my interest, he scheduled a time outside of my working hours to discuss his concerns about my prior remarks on seeking more responsibility. Once I reassured him of my readiness and commitment to change, he arranged an interview with the district manager. I was given a date and time for this interview. It turned out to be a phone interview conducted in his office with the door closed, with only me present. The district manager who interviewed me was actually my original hiring manager. She got promoted the same day I started as a sales associate, so she hadn't worked with me before. The interview lasted about 45 minutes, after which she mentioned she needed to consult with the store manager and that he would follow up within a specified timeframe.

First, I had an interview with one of the managers, and she was super nice. She hit me with about 20 situational questions, which felt like a lot, but it was actually pretty fun and relaxed. About a week later, I got a call for a second interview with the regional manager, and she also asked a bunch of situational questions.

I had a phone interview with the regional manager first. Then, I had an in-person interview with both the store manager and the regional manager. I really liked the in-person one, the managers were nice and easy to talk to.
