First I had a phone screen. After that, an interview was scheduled pretty quickly. The interview process was really informative and everyone was super friendly. The work environment seemed really positive and upbeat. Once the interview was done, HR reached out with an offer and salary details. I accepted the job.

The interview process was quite unusual. A brief 2-minute phone screen was followed by an in-person interview. I asked for more details about the job since the application description was vague, but was told that was all the information available. I hoped to learn more during the interview itself, but that wasn't the case either. I was given another very general description of the role's responsibilities and basically asked how I would fit. It was difficult to answer without knowing what was actually expected. To make matters worse, the interviewer was quite distracted, frequently checking their phone, and appeared exhausted. I wanted to ask more about the position to better explain how my background aligned, but I felt bad about taking up more of their time. While a casual interview can be a nice change from a rigid, questionnaire-style format, this felt more like a 20-minute awkward chat.

The interview process was in-person and pretty standard, though it did seem like a lot of phone interviews for an entry-level role, but that's just how healthcare hiring can be. The doctor interviewing me was great and confirmed I'd get the clinical experience I was looking for.
