So, first I talked to the hiring manager, which was alright. Then, there was this Codility test with some algorithms, pretty standard stuff, not too tough. After that, I had an hour call with some IT folks from Picnic. They wanted me to go over my work history and we chatted about past projects. Then came this weird part where they wanted me to code something like pseudocode, using a dictionary as a mock database for some business problem that wasn't clearly explained. It was about updating prices using some made-up API. Honestly, it wasn't hard, just felt vague and pointless. The communication wasn't great either, felt a bit toxic by the end, like they'd already made up their minds.

I applied online and then had a call with a recruiter. It was just regular HR questions about my background, why I want to work there, and why I'm looking to leave my current job. I think I talked a bit too much, but it seemed okay. Then I got rejected a couple of days later. I was hoping they'd at least give me a chance to do the technical part and then talk about these things with the engineering manager.
