So I had a quick behavioral chat first, then an hour-long phone interview with some puzzle questions. It was fine up to then, but then they called me for an onsite and I started seeing some issues. The person on the phone was like, 'take the interview whenever, even weekends' which made me think, are they going to make employees come in on their days off? We picked a date, and then they just gave me their number, no email or anything about logistics. I texted the number like they said, asking for more info, but got no reply. Months later, still no email saying they filled the spot. I mean, I could've pushed harder, but I figured their whole work-life balance thing would be a no-go for me anyway.

I sent my resume with a quick note to their jobs email and they got back to me in a few hours to set up a culture screen for the next day. It was mainly just some questions about my interest and experience. After that, I had a technical screen with a lead engineer, which went well, just a standard question and a logic puzzle. Because I'm local, I went onsite for a few hours to meet the team and the CEO. These were nontechnical chats for culture fit. She asked some really sharp questions about why I was interested in specific roles and companies, which was nice. Then I returned a few days later for an onsite technical test where I spent a few hours building a real feature with them. They gave me an offer a couple hours after that. Overall, the interview process was really personal and moved very quickly.
