Customer Service Representative
The whole thing took about 2 weeks and it's a contract-to-hire role. I applied through Ajilon, and they hit me back with a call and email about a week later. I went to their office in Seattle for a meeting thingy where they talked about a bunch of jobs I applied for. I really made sure to sell myself to the two Agents, Kirby and Jennifer. A few days after that, I had a phone interview with Kathi, and then she wanted me to come in person. She got sick though, so her supervisor met with me instead. She asked some pretty direct questions, kinda intimidating. Then I met Anastasia, who'd be my trainer. It was super casual with her, just wanted to know what I was looking for and how I'd fit in and work best for them. After that, they said they'd call me by the end of the week. I got an offer and they wanted me to start right away.
- Can you tell me about your experience with processing orders and gathering information?
- What do you want to get out of this job?
- This job requires multitasking and handling emergency calls where you need to quickly figure out the right accessory for a Pak. Can you handle that?
Project Manager
I had an HR phone screen and then a hiring manager interview. The HR call was pretty standard, just checking if I met the basic qualifications. The hiring manager call, however, was a bit of a mess. They were 20 minutes late calling me. We went through my resume chronologically, which seemed to align with the job description. But then the manager started talking about the role, and it sounded totally different from what was posted. I was told I'd hear back within a week, but it's been months. I found out through a friend that I didn't get the job, and apparently, the hiring manager and another manager were still discussing what they were even looking for. Another friend had a bad experience with a hiring manager too, and someone else I know had an interview scheduled and they never got called.

Communications Specialist
I applied online for a PR position and had an initial phone screen and then a phone interview. After the second call, I was told I made it to the next round, but then I never heard back, even after following up with a recruiter. A year and a half later, I saw a part-time PR position open at Physio-Control and applied. I had another phone interview with a different recruiter, who told me I was one of three candidates and that he'd update me on the next steps after speaking with the hiring manager. He even said I could hound him if I didn't hear back in a few weeks. I followed up but still heard nothing. I also contacted the first recruiter, who also promised a call back, but it's been six months. The recruiting department has reflected very poorly on the company.

Software Engineer
Met 1:1 with the internship committee at a college event to see if I was a good fit for their program. A week later, I went to the site and met my project mentor and the project manager. We talked about the project, and the manager asked a few technical questions. Got a verbal offer by phone a week after that, followed by an email offer the same day. After signing, I had 48 hours to do a drug test and provide info for a background check. It was a pretty straightforward interview; if you brush up on basic programming and communication skills for personality questions, it should be easy.
- Could you describe the testing and development process for creating a simple desktop application?
