Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Photon.
Senior QA Engineer
The interview was okay, but I'm not interested in Photon because of poor job security. I noticed they used a template for all candidates, especially for QA automation roles, asking the same Java programming questions.
- Can you write Java programs?
QA Engineer
So, my last job had this really tough interview process. It involved some technical tests and then we talked a lot about what I've done before. I made sure to talk about how I led projects, worked with others, and made things more efficient. They seemed to like how I solved problems and noticed how I helped make things run smoother. They also said I was innovative and a good team player. It really made me want to keep doing a great job and showed me I can handle busy places.
- Could you go over your resume and point out the main experiences that fit this job?
- Tell me about how you tackle tough issues, and give an example of a tricky situation you sorted out.
- Talk about a project where you showed real leadership and worked well with your team.
QA Engineer
The interview process involved some common questions about me, my career goals, and what I'm looking for in a company and this specific role. They also asked about my background and why I'd be a good fit. Then, there was a question about my testing framework and process.
- Can you describe your testing framework and the process you use?
- Tell me about yourself.
- What do you consider your strengths?
