The process was good. I received an email stating that they had reviewed my resume and found a position that suits my background. They inquired about my interest and mentioned setting up a phone interview with the hiring manager if I was interested. A phone interview was scheduled for the following week and lasted about half an hour. During the interview, I learned that they required someone local for this position.

The interview process felt pretty disorganized from the start. I first got an email saying I'd have a phone interview, then a voicemail said I'd come in person and get an email confirmation, which I never received. I had to chase them to confirm I'd be coming in early the next week. They didn't give me a schedule, and the interview started late because they weren't ready. I ended up talking to six different people, and it seemed like they all had different ideas about what this job actually entailed. It felt like they were still figuring out what they wanted, and the job title itself was confusing since it said 'web developer' when they were looking for a designer. They also claim on their website to be a good place for work/home balance, but the employees I spoke with suggested otherwise. When I asked them what they liked about working there, most just said 'to have a job and get money,' and they struggled to think of anything else. It seemed like there was a lot of shifting priorities and uncertainty about what work needed to be done. I suspect it could be a more interesting place to work if they ever settle on a clear direction.

It was a very dedicated and professional interview process. The problems took a long time, but the manager was respectful of my time and didn't pressure me. After my application was accepted, there were 3 interview sessions. The first was a brief 45-minute meeting with the direct manager. The second was about an hour long with a technical person. The last interview was with the CEO to discuss contract details.

I interviewed for a role on a new product team that was still being formed. Up to that point, they had only hired a non-technical project manager. They had set really aggressive deadlines for the product, which were also tied to bonuses. Since I knew what they wanted was impossible, I turned down their offer. I wasn't surprised to see the job relisted multiple times over the next year, long after the initial deadlines they told me about.
