The process is kinda pointless since the panel members are already decided on who they want to hire before the interview even starts. It feels like there's favoritism and open discrimination going on. You pretty much need to know somebody to get hired, like going through sorority rush. The college handbook doesn't seem to be strictly followed. I do think the new president is making some good changes though.

Presentation Behavioral

There were 4 rounds of interviews, which included a teaching demonstration. All interviews were conducted via video conference, so there was no campus visit. This made it difficult to get a sense of potential colleagues, the facilities, and the surrounding area. Presenting yourself well on video is also quite challenging, especially when their microphones pick up feedback and echoes. I invested significant time and effort in preparing my teaching demonstration and participating in the interview rounds, only to be ghosted. I was a finalist for the position, yet I never received the professional courtesy of being informed of their decision. It was quite shocking to be treated this way. A quick Google search reveals a lot of dysfunction within the organization, such as a "no confidence vote for their Chancellor" and an "AAUP investigation."
